Every day Unrip checks the places below for each record on your list, then works out the cheapest way to buy them together. It looks inside the marketplaces too, seller by seller, because that is where the savings are.

Discogs and eBay are mostly used copies sold by people. The shops are mostly new stock at one price: Target and Amazon sell new copies, and Walmart sells mostly new with some pre-owned. A new copy only wins on being cheaper, unless you have told Unrip what paying extra for a new one is worth to you.
One thing worth knowing about Amazon: some of what it lists is sold by other merchants through Amazon, and its search does not say which. We show all of it as Amazon, because that is how the page reads when you get there. Walmart does name its sellers, so we name them too.
Several records, one parcel
Two records on the same marketplace are rarely from the same seller. The saving comes from finding the seller, or the shop, that has several of yours, so they ship in one parcel.
A seller with a slightly higher price on one record can still give you the lower total once several records share one shipping charge.
Copies you’d want
Vinyl and CD, new and used, different editions and conditions: listings for the same album can be very different purchases.
Your standards guide the search: format, the lowest record and sleeve condition you’ll accept, seller rating and where a copy ships from. Check the listing before buying, especially if you want a particular pressing.
Shipping
Unrip works out prices and shipping for delivery within the United States. You can use it from elsewhere, but it doesn’t work out shipping to other countries yet.
Prices move
Unrip checks prices in the background about once a day, and a record you have just added takes a few minutes to check for the first time. A listing can sell or change price before you get to it.
The seller’s checkout is where you confirm the copy is still there, how it will be delivered and what you will pay.
